- In high school, I found a cheap acoustic guitar in my uncle’s basement.
- A friend taught me how to play it.
- I started writing songs.

- A few weeks before 2002 came to an end, I formed a honky tonk band called No Barbers Required with a friend.
-In the Fall of 2003, we played our first show.
- We did 4 songs.
- “Hard to Hold on to”, “One Silent Tear”, “Man of Constant Sorrow”, “If Both my Hands”.
- We played bars in Quebec and Ontario for a while.
- After recording a 6-song acoustic ep, No Barbers Required released, in the Fall of 2007, Hard To Hold On To on Milagro Records.
- We played some more shows.
- We shot a video.
- In May of 2009, No Barbers Required played its last show at Divan Orange in Montreal.

- I wrote new songs.
- I began playing shows again about a year later, under my own name.
- In 2011 and 2012, I recorded The Usual Obsessions.
- The CD comes with a 50-page booklet (pictures and short-story included).

- I still play shows...
